Associate of Science Degree in Recreation
The Associate of Science in Recreation at College of the Desert is designed to prepare individuals for careers in recreation, sport, and athletic administration and management. Individuals will be prepared to work in the recreation and sport industry in a variety of settings, including professional, fitness, college and scholastic organizations, private businesses, community services, as well as academic institutions. Recreation and sports managers are at work in a wide array of enterprises, such as: media and marketing; fitness and professional sports clubs; parks and recreation departments; sports arenas, golf clubs, and resorts; equipment manufacturers; and intercollegiate athletics.
