The Foundation Board and committees are composed of community leaders who volunteer to work with College staff to support the College’s specific needs, present and future. Giving programs of the Foundation include:
The Fund for Student Success
This Fund is a comprehensive way to support all of the priority Student Success initiatives of the College. Gifts are used for the Student Emergency Fund, meal cards for students who are food insecure, textbooks, support services for veterans returning from active duty, childcare for students with young children, graduation regalia, and scholarships for first-generation students. Gifts of any amount make a significant difference.
The President’s Circle
The President’s Circle is the Foundation’s leadership giving society. Members of the President’s Circle are philanthropic leaders from across the Coachella Valley who partner with the College Superintendent/President and leaders of the Foundation to support the priority needs of College of the Desert. Gifts between $1,000 and $25,000 are recognized as President’s Circle leadership gifts.
The Legacy Society recognizes donors who have made provisions for the College of the Desert Foundation through their estate plans. In addition, those who make donations through rollover IRAs, gifts of life insurance, and all forms of life income gifts such as charitable gift annuities and gift trusts, are recognized as Legacy Society members.
