Compressed Natural Gas Essentials Certificate of Completion

The emphasis of the Compressed Natural Gas Essentials Certificate is on key compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicle systems including their basic operation, function, service and maintenance. The systems include: engine management, emission controls, electronic/electronic controls and on-board diagnostics related to CNG.

Learning Outcomes

Upon satisfactory completion of this program students will be able to:
  1. Safely work in shop environment and on CNG vehicles.
  2. Perform intermediate to advanced service, repair, maintenance and diagnostics on CNG fueled vehicles.
  3. Describe the basic operation of the major systems on CNG vehicles.
