Organization Certificate of Competency
The Organization Certificate of Competency develops writing skills that help students communicate ideas, opinions, arguments, facts, and evidence in a coherent structure intended for a reading audience. These organizational principles will benefit students in academic classes at the community college level as well as in the workplace.
Learning Outcomes
Upon satisfactory completion of this program students will be able to:
- Write developed paragraphs that use topic sentences, evidence, and analysis of evidence.
- Practice writing a variety of paragraphs for different purposes.
- Understand the basic structure of an academic essay, including introductory paragraphs, body paragraphs, and conclusions.
- Practice writing essays for varying purposes.
