Public Safety Certificate of Achievement
The Public Safety Certificate of Achievement is focused towards students pursuing a career in Public Safety or as a First Responder. Students will be introduced to courses in Criminal Justice, Fire Service and Emergency Medical Services. Completion of this certificate will provide students with the basic knowledge to pursue a career in the Public Safety field.
Learning Outcomes
Upon satisfactory completion of this program students will be able to:
- Exhibit a working knowledge of the various aspects of the Fire Service to include but not limited to Fire Department structure, operations, educational and experiential requirements for fire service jobs.
- Describe employment criteria required in Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement industries.
- Display aptitude and knowledge necessary to qualify for employment in Emergency Medical Service industries.
