Academic English Certificate of Completion

This series of courses will teach the students English grammar, reading, writing, listening and speaking skills that they will need to be adequately prepared for college-credit classes where they will be able to earn vocational certificates, earn an Associate degree, and/or transfer to a baccalaureate institution. The sequence of courses will also give students the necessary skills to find and maintain a job, as well as advance in a current job that he or she may have.

Learning Outcomes

Upon satisfactory completion of this program students will be able to:

  1. English language learners will be able to apply academic language skills to be prepared for Adult Basic Education or credit classes, and/or be successful in the workforce.
