Personal Trainer Certificate of Achievement

The Personal Trainer Certificate program provides students with the skills and knowledge needed to prepare them for employment within the fitness industry. Students will gain an understanding of the physiology of exercise, fitness assessment procedures and methodologies, sports nutrition, treating activity-related injuries, and designing exercise programs. The program includes a hands-on experience with an exercise population. This certification also prepares students for industry standard personal trainer examinations including the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).

Learning Outcomes

Upon satisfactory completion of this program students will be able to:

  1. Be prepared for industry standard personal trainer examinations such as the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).
  2. Explain the skillsets necessary for employment within the fitness industry.
