Architectural Technology AS Degree (transfer preparation)

The Architectural Technology Associate of Science degree is intended to prepare students with a broad perspective of Architecture, design and local general education requirements to utilize in gaining employment in Architecture or any of the related fields in the building industry where they will be involved to produce plans, but may also contribute in the design and construction administration of various building typologies. Individuals completing this degree may also choose to continue their education toward a baccalaureate, or advanced degree in Architecture or related majors.

Learning Outcomes

Upon satisfactory completion of this program students will be able to:

  1. Fulfill the requirements for an entry- level position in their field.
  2. Apply critical thinking skills to execute daily duties in their area of employment.
  3. Apply critical thinking skills to research, evaluate, analyze, and synthesize information.
  4. Display the skills and aptitude necessary to qualify for certification exams in their field.
  5. Exhibit effective written, oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Transfer to a higher level learning institution.
