General Drafting AS Degree
The Associate of Science in General Drafting degree is intended to prepare students with a broad perspective of drafting, design and local general education requirements to utilize in gaining employment in any of the related fields of the building industry where they will be involved to produce plans of various building typologies. Individuals completing this degree may also choose to continue their education toward a baccalaureate, or advanced degree in Architecture or related majors.
Learning Outcomes
Upon satisfactory completion of this program students will be able to:
- Display technical drawing skills commonly practiced in the Architectural profession.
- Compose digital drawings using Computer Aided Design and Drafting problem-solving techniques.
- Apply digital solutions to enhance imported images.
- Articulate the California Building Codes with construction and design.
